Sperry Equities and Sperry Commercial believe that real success carries a responsibility to others. Over the years, the firm has partnered with more than 40 charitable organizations locally and nationally. From hands-on board involvement to meaningful financial contributions, Sperry's partners and leadership live out a simple conviction — that those who have been given much have an obligation to give back.
Burton Young is proud to be actively involved with many nonprofit organizations and events, including the Rivals Cup Gold Tournament. Since its inception in 2018, the event has raised over $2.5 million gross for underfunded cancer research through Kure It.

The partners at Sperry always believed: 'to whom much is given, much is expected.' This is about giving much of our time and talent as well as our treasure. Our partners are involved on several charitable boards as well as giving donations. We really want to make a difference in peoples' lives in education, health and science.

Building strong relationships and supporting our colleagues, whether through fostering the culture of enriching the lives of others by being actively involved in charities and internship programs, ensures that everyone can contribute effectively.

One of our most meaningful philanthropic endeavors is a program we initiated more than 25 years ago. Each holiday season, our local property managers across the country identify a family or individual within their community who is facing financial hardship. Sperry then provides assistance of approximately $1,000 to $2,000 per recipient, helping about 35 families each year.
While Sperry proudly supports many outstanding charitable organizations through significant annual contributions, this particular program remains intentionally under the radar. Its purpose is simple: to help families experience the joy and dignity of what should be a special time of year, despite the challenges they may be facing.
Although the amount provided to each family may seem modest, the impact can be profound. A gift that helps put presents under a tree, pay essential bills, or simply relieve stress during the holidays can make a meaningful difference. Over the past 25 years, this program has provided approximately $875,000 in direct support to families and individuals in need, reflecting our belief that even small acts of generosity can create lasting impact.
